Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a prominent Indian film director known for his much acclaimed movies like “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam“, “Devdas“, and “Black“, is launching his first television venture “Saraswatichandra“.
The promos of the new show has been getting much attention from the viewers as the story line of the show seems unique and different from the regular daily soaps. The story has been put up with a touch of grandeur matching up to Bhansali’s directorial signature style.
“Saraswatichandra“, a story based on a popular Gujarati novel by Govardhanram Madhavaram Tripathi is to be aired on Star Plus.
Set in a middle-class Gujarati family, the show is about clash of ideologies. The main protagonists of the story are Gautam Rode who will play Saraswatichandra and actress Jennifer Winget will essay the role of character Kumud.
The story of Saraswatichandra played by actor Gautam Rode is a melodramatic love story directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Saraswatichadra is the male protagonist of the story who is a very empathetic person whose marriage is fixed with Kumud essayed by Jennifer Winget. Saraswatichandra decides to cancel engagement and writes a letter to Kumud to inform her about his decision. Saraswatichandra and Kumud start to exchange letters until one day Saraswati decides to go to meet Kumud in person. Eventually both fall for each other and get married but difficult family environment at Sasraswati’s home creates many rifts in their love saga.
